The snow was real and it was very cold. Fortunately, Elena was a willing participant and we captured the right picture very quickly. Thanks to the Bjurlins for the use of their tree.

The heart represents Elena giving her heart to Jesus. The words were drawn from a Christmas song that we had sung with our choir. Dick and Mel Tunney wrote these words:

Angels sang of God's great love, Shepherds bowed their knee,
As they worshiped heaven's child, Christ the newborn king,
