I John 4:9 says, "In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him."

Charles Wesley helps express this wonderful thought in the following words:

Love divine, all loves excelling, Joy of heaven to earth come down;
Fix in us Thy humble dwelling, All Thy faithful mercies crown.
Jesus, Thou art all compassion, Pure, unbounded love Thou art;
Visit us with Thy salvation, Enter every trembling heart.

All of our other cards have included pictures of our children. Here, Anders is holding a representation of Jean in the manager. The thought of embracing the Christ as an infant reminds us of our vulnerability and the need for a savior.
